About this app

Windor Field is a private, staff-only application used by Windor Solutions technicians to carry out on-site assessments for hurricane protection, impact windows, doors and screens in the British Virgin Islands. Access requires a Windor Solutions company account; the app is not intended for, or made available to, the general public, and it is not directed at children.

Information the app collects

The app collects only what is needed to record a site assessment:

• Staff sign-in credentials. Your Windor Solutions account email and password are used to authenticate you. The app stores only the resulting session, not your password.
• Assessment measurements and notes. For each opening on a property — the opening type, dimensions, recommended product and any notes you enter.
• Photographs. Photos of the openings being assessed, taken with the device camera or chosen from the device photo library. The camera and photo-library permissions are used only for this purpose and only when you choose to add a photo.
• Customer sign-off. On completion, the name of the person signing off and a drawn signature confirming the assessment.

The app does not collect your device location, contacts, or any advertising identifiers, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.

How the information is used

All information is used solely for Windor Solutions’ internal business purpose of recording and fulfilling site assessments. Captured work is saved on the device and synced to Windor Solutions’ own systems (the office assessment and opening records) over an encrypted connection. It is used to prepare quotations and installation work for the customer whose property was assessed.

Sharing

This information is for internal use only. Windor Solutions does not sell it, does not share it with third parties for their own purposes, and does not use it for advertising. It may be handled by the service providers that host Windor Solutions’ infrastructure strictly to operate the service on our behalf.

Storage, security and retention

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is limited to authorized Windor Solutions staff. Assessment records, photos and sign-offs are retained as part of Windor Solutions’ business records for 7 years, to serve the customer and to meet the company’s operational, warranty and legal record-keeping requirements, after which they are deleted or archived in line with company policy.

Your choices

Because this is an internal staff tool, the records it creates belong to Windor Solutions. Staff may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with their account by contacting the company. Camera and photo-library access can be revoked at any time in your device settings, though this will limit your ability to attach photos to an assessment.
